BIS often makes the rumor mills but not in such a pronounced way. At a recent film opening, a jet-setting BIS shopper recently told us how she was the center of attention at a recent film opening where her $2000 Armani gown (which she snatched at BIS, still new with tags, for $200) was the conversation opener for many glitterati at the opening. She proudly proclaimed to all who inquired that she had acquired the dress from “a consignment shop in NYC named BIS Designer Resale”.

The highlight of her evening was when Halle Berry approached her and commented that she loved the dress and had to know how and where she got it. Our shopper happily proclaimed to the Oscar-winner and Bond girl, that she bought it at our store. Ms. Berry surprised asked “Really?” in disbelief. Our shopper confirmed and Ms. Berry said she would make it a point to come by the store.

Ever since we learned of the event, all the male staff in the store have been dutifully wearing their Sunday best expecting Ms. Berry’s arrival. We’ll let you know when she swings by!
